I'll list what I can tell from what I've heard but in the end one member has lost complete 'passion' into doing this and I myself feel somewhat the same. To be honest, I didn't feel the way the podcast was going the way it was. It didn't seem like it'd catch too much attention on things we talked about. Specs/Structure of consoles, PS3 fanboyism...Okay, that was just Peter. But anyway, we have disbanded for now and have left the 'Crash without Recovery' up for grabs by the original owner. We had a blast, and we have had a chat where we'll, in time, create a brand new podcast in similar interested areas where we feel we may get the most fans. I'm going on a limb here and saying it'll most likely just be on the Video Games themselves, and consoles coming out/back in the day and just reviewing games. That's my idea for one =) Along with a 'random jabbering Aftershow' like we had going now. We hope you did enjoy what we have brought up, and hope to see you hear from us in the future! Thanks for listening,

CWR Main Host - Jami

As Jami has mentioned, the podcast will cease production immediately. Anyone who has listened to each of the podcasts will realize, that we were ALL over the place. We had no solid structure (try as we might), and no matter what we tried, something always ended up flying on a different tangent, way off course from the original topic at hand.
Also as jami mentioned, there are plans for another one in the future sometime. When that'll happen, we dont know. This podcast was purely an experiment, and it shows (listen to Episode 1 then episode 7). So we wish to take the knowledge learned from producing this one, and transfer into makin the new one, just 100% better. With proper equipment, a schedule, and most importantly, better topic discussions.
Im not "displeased" with CWR and how it turned out, despite what im making it sound like, it was certainly buckets of fun, and thats exactly what we set out to do, have some fun. What went wrong, is it went from "fun" to turning into a weekly chore based on what we all had to put up with on a daily basis. As for not "feeling" it anymore, I'm just not. Somewhere along the lines, the passion died, when i realized that nothing we could say or do, could save this particular podcast. And thats mostly due to said weekly trials and tribulations.

In short: This was certainly a fun experiment, it was great laughs, and certianly a learning experience which i shall use to make a proper future production.

If you wish to follow, and know whats going on with us, here we are:
Kyle Harrisons Blog
Jami Gills Blog
Peters PS3 Hour of Power (just kidding) Blog

Its been fun, and i thank everyone who gave us a listen, your support definitly helped drive to continue the experiment, but for now, wed like to quietly exit while were still ahead, so we have some dignity for the real deal :)

See you then!

CWR main host - Kyle

No Podcast for this week.

Sadly, we ran into problems with Ky's computer and we weren't able to get it fixed in time for this weeks episode. Peter and Jami also clash out (Like usual) on a topic, this time regarding RPG's and the cast also decide to record in a different manner. Rather than using the original Logitech mic, we tried out a Sony microphone and pass it amongst ourselves. I'd first off like to say the second episode is done, but currently going under fixes. Ya know, editing and the likes. I would've liked it to be released last night however problems occured (Outside editing) and time was wasted for nothing. This is due to me, I had errands to do which were over inflated in actual time needed to finish. As of now, the Podcast is being reviewed by us to make sure we took the bad out and left the good stuff in =)

We hope you enjoy it when it's released and stay tuned for next week!

ON a side note, I won't be appearing in the Podcast next Tuesday. Sadly, you won't hear from me but I'll see if Ky and I can record an 'Aftershow' a day or so later (The After show has now been cut off the main podcast and will be a separate cast)! "CWR" is a weekly podcast hosted by 3 independent game developers. Kyle, Jami, and Peter. Collectively we bring an independant look and perspective on the Games Industry and the products they deliver.

Kyle brings in a background of gaming since the Atari days, as well as some knowledge of how a game works in general. Kyles been infatuated with the games industry since a child, and has never stopped dreaming about being a game designer. You heard it right "Game Designer". He also practices animation of the 3rd dimension variety.

Jami brings an interesting element to the table as he expresses his inane disinterest with the concept of "copy+paste mechanics" and yearns for something a little bit more original in his chosen field. Still a greenhorn, hes got ambition and drive most would kill to have.

Peter Vigilante is a college 3d modeler, who isn't exactly 'new' to the gaming scene, but rather finding this current generation an interesting thing that just cant be passed up. Peter strives for storytelling and production quality and wishes every game could be as cinematic and 'epic' as Heavely Sword or Uncharted. Hes also very much in love with his Playstation 3.

Together these three strived to create a podcast that generally addresses games on a different level, format of the show be damned.
We dont review on a professional level, we dont simply just talk about the game industry, or even overview/preview games, we are more interested in the products themselves: The Games, and the good the bad and the ugly about them. And the best way we feel to learn, is to rip everything apart to the nitty gritty and study the insides (much like Science class).

The Segments as of time and date of writing include:

CWR Podcast:
This is the weekly show, were we pick a single topic and discuss until weve either tired ourselves out or exhausted the subject. Because of this nature, the shows tend to be a little on the longer side than some other podcasts, but hey, we try our hardest to expell all information, and trying to keep it short.
We record in the comfort of Kyles room using a Logitech desktop mic, on Tuesdays.
CWR Podcasts then go through a reviewing process and eventualy released sometime during Wednesday.

CWR Aftershow:
The Crash Without Recovery aftershow, is really just random stuff. The show is typically recorded either back2back from the CWR podcast, or a significant amount of time later, though never on a different day, hence the title "Aftershow". Its a separate optional downloadable segment, usually shorter, and consists of only Kyle and Jami. Topic range from left to right, black to white, and weird to light the entire time. Its just random jabbering between two hosts late at night. Sometimes with humorous results!
CWR Aftershows record from within Kyles room on the same Logitech desktop mic, on Tuesdays directly after the CWR Podcast recording
CWR Aftershows are subsequently released after the CWR Podcast.
